Prophecies Linking Solana To Antichrist

Please understand that this article should be prefaced with the statement that I do not claim directly that Javier Solana is the Antichrist, for only God knows. However, I am pointing out some striking similarities between the prophecies and his professional biography which indicate his possible role as the end times Antichrist.

Luke 21:28
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

He will be of a kingdom that is divided, partly strong and partly weak, and shall not cleave to each other (Daniel 2:41-43)

It's easy to see how Europe is a Revived Roman Empire that is "divided". The very fact there is a WEU of 10 official members and a broader EU of 25 members shows a Europe is still divided. And the fact that the nations "will not cleave to one another" has been played out before all our eyes in the Iraq war, the problems of ratifying of the EU Constitution, amid other disagreements which seem to come up from time to time.

He will be of a kingdom that will engulf the whole world (Daniel 7:23)
Although Javier Solana is High Representative of the WEU, only a 10 nation federation the tentacles of the WEU and the EU continue to spread throughout the world.

He will head a 10 nation federation (Daniel 7:24)
He is Secretary General of the WEU, the military arm of the EU, and comprises the 10 original member states that signed the Treaty of Brussels. These are the only nations of the WEU that have official member status. Other nations have different statuses within the WEU as described in detail below.

He will subdue 3 of those nations (Daniel 7:24)
Britain, France and Germany (officially called the E3) have apparently been jockeying for position to hold the lion's share of foreign policy until such times that the EU Constitution is ratified and comes into force. This ambition has been brought to light by the E3's recent dealings with Iran's nuclear programme. The EU Constitution will create the official position of EU Foreign Secretary, which Javier Solana, the EU High Representative currently holds in an unofficial capacity. These three nations would need to be "subdued" in order to give Javier Solana a clear shot at being the "one voice of Europe".

He will grow great towards the East and the South, and toward the pleasant land (Israel) (Daniel 8:9)
Javier Solana's European Neighbourhood Policy is aimed at developing relations with Middle Eastern and Caucus Nations, directly towards the East and the South of the European Union Bloc with a specific focus on the holy land

He shall use peace to destroy many (Daniel 8:25)

Javier Solana has brokered peace agreements throughout the world. His role as High Representative was initially to be involved in bringing Russia and the Caucasus regions closer to Europe. He would also be heavily involved in the Middle East.

By his policy he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand (Daniel 8:25)
He has devised, and is responsible for the implementation of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP). The ENP gives financial incentives to states in exchange for political reforms (read "political control"). It has been said that while America's tool for bringing about global security is its army, Europe's weapon is its financial clout, used through subtle means, i.e. "craft". Statecraft is one of the things Javier Solana says he has used to help bring Europe together

He shall confirm a covenant with many nations for 7 years, and break it in the middle of those years (Daniel 9:27)
His European Neighbourhood Policy, is to last from 2007-2013, with a mid-term review period, in which Javier Solana himself will be involved. 16 nations have signed up, including Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Israel signed up in December 2004. All countries will have their agreements confirmed on January 1st, 2007. It's prime aim is to bring security and political control to Europe's borders as mentioned above.

He shall be the prince of the people that destroyed Jerusalem (Daniel 9:26)
Daniel states that the Antichrist would be the prince of the people that would destroy the city (Jerusalem) and the sanctuary (the Temple). In AD 70, Jerusalem and the Temple were literally destroyed by the Roman armies under the command of Titus. The Antichrist will therefore be a prince of the Revived Roman Empire, or in modern terms, "Europe".

His number is Six hundred threescore and six (666 - Revelation 13:18)
His position as High Representative of the WEU is linked in two places with the number 666 in official EU documents.
The first document issued in 1998 by the European commission was called Article 666, and which called for the immediate election of a High Representative for the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy who would have a "strong political profile", and be backed by "credible operational capabilities".
The second document, called "Recommendation 666" which was drafted by Javier Solana himself, called for special powers to be given to the High Representative, enabling him to take control of political and military councils in the event of an emergency.

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of [a] Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him 3 and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of [b] Meshech and Tubal. 4 I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army—your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords. 5 Persia, Cush [c] and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, 6 also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you. who are they today?
7 " 'Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. 8 After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. 10 " 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. 11 You will say, "I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. 12 I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land." 13 Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages [d] will say to you, "Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?" '
14 "Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my people Israel are living in safety, will you not take notice of it? 15 You will come from your place in the far north, you and many nations with you, all of them riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. 16 You will advance against my people Israel like a cloud that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will bring you against my land, so that the nations may know me when I show myself holy through you before their eyes.
17 " 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Are you not the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for years that I would bring you against them. 18 This is what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares the Sovereign LORD. 19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man's sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him. 23 And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I will make myself known in the sight of many nations. Then they will know that I am the LORD.'

1 "Son of man, prophesy against Gog and say: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of [e] Meshech and Tubal. 2 I will turn you around and drag you along. I will bring you from the far north and send you against the mountains of Israel. 3 Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and make your arrows drop from your right hand. 4 On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all your troops and the nations with you. I will give you as food to all kinds of carrion birds and to the wild animals. 5 You will fall in the open field, for I have spoken, declares the Sovereign LORD. 6 I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in safety in the coastlands, and they will know that I am the LORD.
7 " 'I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the LORD am the Holy One in Israel. 8 It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign LORD. This is the day I have spoken of.
9 " 'Then those who live in the towns of Israel will go out and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 10 They will not need to gather wood from the fields or cut it from the forests, because they will use the weapons for fuel. And they will plunder those who plundered them and loot those who looted them, declares the Sovereign LORD.
11 " 'On that day I will give Gog a burial place in Israel, in the valley of those who travel east toward [f] the Sea. [g] It will block the way of travelers, because Gog and all his hordes will be buried there. So it will be called the Valley of Hamon Gog. [h]
12 " 'For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. 13 All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I am glorified will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign LORD.
14 " 'Men will be regularly employed to cleanse the land. Some will go throughout the land and, in addition to them, others will bury those that remain on the ground. At the end of the seven months they will begin their search. 15 As they go through the land and one of them sees a human bone, he will set up a marker beside it until the gravediggers have buried it in the Valley of Hamon Gog. 16 (Also a town called Hamonah [i] will be there.) And so they will cleanse the land.'
17 "Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: Call out to every kind of bird and all the wild animals: 'Assemble and come together from all around to the sacrifice I am preparing for you, the great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel. There you will eat flesh and drink blood. 18 You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth as if they were rams and lambs, goats and bulls—all of them fattened animals from Bashan. 19 At the sacrifice I am preparing for you, you will eat fat till you are glutted and drink blood till you are drunk. 20 At my table you will eat your fill of horses and riders, mighty men and soldiers of every kind,' declares the Sovereign LORD.
21 "I will display my glory among the nations, and all the nations will see the punishment I inflict and the hand I lay upon them. 22 From that day forward the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God. 23 And the nations will know that the people of Israel went into exile for their sin, because they were unfaithful to me. So I hid my face from them and handed them over to their enemies, and they all fell by the sword. 24 I dealt with them according to their uncleanness and their offenses, and I hid my face from them.
25 "Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says: I will now bring Jacob back from captivity [j] and will have compassion on all the people of Israel, and I will be zealous for my holy name. 26 They will forget their shame and all the unfaithfulness they showed toward me when they lived in safety in their land with no one to make them afraid. 27 When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations. 28 Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind. 29 I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD."

I had a weird dream last night. I dreamed that there was a terrorist in the neighborhood I grew up in on the west coast and that he rented a room in my parents' house, only it was actually my house that I live in now on the east coast.

Anyway, it was dark in the house and I saw a shadow walking toward the garage. The man was walking as if he knew I was there and he tried to act as if he was just casually walking through. His build slightly resembled my brothers but I didn't think it was them.

I slammed his face against the door to the garage but didn't use all of my force just incase it was not an intruder. Then I dragged him out in the back yard because dawn was about to break and I hoped to get a good look at his face.

When I finally got a good look at his face he indeed had a very Arab looking face and looked scared and indignant at the same time. I punched him twice in the face and spit on his face. I told him that he is not serving God but the devil and that Allah is evil and Satan.

My interpretation of my dream let me to ponder if perhaps this current reign of terrorism is in fact a ploy of Satan to poison the earth, and that this campaign will be shut down at the battle of Gog as prophesied in Ezekial. This attempt would seem more clearly doomed to fail because it is so boldfaced and obvious.

At this juncture Satan would refocus this evil energy a "leopard like", or democratic-like institution. This is where he would "by peace destroy magnificently".

Just got my mind going.

The Rapture

For many years I have felt that the rapture might trigger the tribulation. Then recently I came across this verse:

II Thess 2:6-8 -- 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time.7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed.

Without believers on the earth, who would restrain the Antichrist from his rise? The most obvious thing missing would be the Holy Spririt as restrainer. Another important component missing in restraining the A.C. after the rapture would be the absense of a critical political block of society. Modern humanistic/utopian ideologies come from the left. And those who are not born again Christians are more likely to support the left than the right.

Think about the 2004 election. The poll results showed that born-again Christians gave Bush the edge in the election, and that 85% voted for him over Kerry. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not judging the faith of those who voted for Kerry. The point is, those on Kerry's side of the spectrum are among the same crowd who supports socialism, Communist regimes, humanism, reletavism, and Anti-Semitism. The left put Sharon on ethical par with Arafat and call the blatant liar, plagerist, and anti-semite Noam Chomsky a 'philosoper'.

Without Christians, the 2004 election would have been a landslide for the left. Without Christians, Kerry would be the right wing candidate.... How far in left field, then would the mainstream one be????

Not to be confused with the European Union (EU), the Western European Union (WEU) is a partially dormant European defence and security organization composed of those states who were members of both NATO and the EU.

The Brussels Treaty was the forerunner of the WEU. It was signed by the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands on March 17, 1948. It was a mutual intergovernmental self defence treaty which also promoted economic, cultural and social collaboration. All of them being members of both NATO and the European Union. These are the only nations that have full voting rights.

In other words, the Treaty of Brussels was first the precursor to NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), then to the WEU. And since all 10 WEU members were first members of NATO, you could say they come out of it. So here we literally see the WEU beast coming out of an organization founded upon its relation to the sea, hence the name North ATLANTIC Treaty Organization.

Even NATO's logo attests to it being an organization rising out of the sea:

European Neighborhood Policy <<: " The European Neighbourhood Policy is a new policy that invites our neighbours to the East and to the South to share in the peace, stability and prosperity that we enjoy in the European Union and which aims to create a ring of friends around the borders of the new enlarged EU"

And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate (Daniel 9:27 New America Standard Bible).

It is commonly believed the passage above foretells the rise of a strong leader from out of a revived Roman Empire who will make, or confirm, a covenant with the many for seven years. Israel will be included in this covenant. As far as Israel is concerned, he will violate his covenant 3 1/2 years later. In other passages from Daniel, we learn this leader will rise from among a 10-nation alliance (Daniel 7:7-8) and subdue three of the 10 kings (Daniel 7:24). In the New Testament book of Revelation, we learn that this leader will somehow be identified with the number 666 (Revelation 13: 18).
